Churches to offer Turkey Day meals
At least a couple of area churches are offering free meals on Thanksgiving for those in need.
First Baptist Church Azle will offer free traditional Thanksgiving Day dinners from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26. FBC is located at 1017 Boyd Road. Call 817-444-4828 for more information.
Victory Christian Center will provide its 6th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 737 Boyd Road. Crossing Fellowship Church is a co-sponsor of the even this year. VCC offers delivery for shut-ins. Please call 817-891-0065 before Nov. 25 for delivery.

 Azle takes hoops opener at home

Azle (1-0) hosted Stephenville, a team that beat AHS by 15 points last year. This time around, the Hornets led the entire game, often by double digits, and won 50-47.Full Story
