Around 2,500 people attended Victory Christian Center’s second annual Tri-County Fall Festival. It was a three day event held last Friday through Saturday at 737 Boyd Road.
Proceeds from the chili cookoff netted $150 to purchase food for the Azle Community Center.
Over 40 vendors used the event to get their products into the community, including Azle area restaurants – Denny’s, La Choza’s and Ranch House Hoagies, which participated in the “Taste of Azle and Gospel Vendor Fair with Southern Gospel music featuring John Webster of John’s Christian Book Store. Over 150 circuit riders attended the “Biker Rally Rumble,” along with Jim Hartin, president of the Texas State Circuit Rider ministry. During the rally VCC chartered their own motorcycle ministry with Jose Luna as their first president.
The Bikers enjoyed free breakfast and lunch and many came with a new toy or two and donated them to the Angel Tree as the fee to enter the bike show. With November just beginning the VCC Angel tree already has two boxes filled with toys, just waiting to be given away to deserving kids at Christmas. |
